Le Chéile Arts Dunmanway

For the best original art and unique crafts that County Cork has to offer, call in to the newly opened Le Chéile Arts gallery and craft shop in the centre of Dunmanway town. The shop is a hidden gem and an Aladdin’s cave of homeware, gifts and quirky wall art.

Artist Cecilia Scholte Lubberink came up with the idea after organising a pop up shop in the same location in the run up to Christmas in 2022. She was delighted by the public’s reaction to all of the local artists and talented craftsmen and designers that the area has to offer. It also serves as a way to show her own paintings, sketches and ceramics.

The gallery and shop is showcasing over 60 local artists and craft makers and you will find ceramics, paintings, sculptures and more by artists such as Aisling Roche, Nigel Connell Bass, Jim Wilson, Kate Wilson, Gill Smyth, Mary Ffrench, Maura Whelan, Peter Zillo, Alvin Sexton, Liz Rinn, Paula Brown Marten, Nicola Geary, Emily A Thompson, and Annabel Langrish, to name only a few.

The shop is located on 21 Main Street,the main street that runs through Dunmanway and is a few doors up from the public car park. It’s also close to many delicious cuisines served to you by the Wild Garlic Coffee Shop and Restaurant, Mirabelle’s Café and Bakery, and The Teapot Café. Come to Dunmanway for a bite, a browse and a stroll about!
