Monday 19th August
- Isla Jeffers begins our history talk series on Monday at 8p.m with an overview of the history of the Jeffers family in Bandon.
Tuesday 20th August
- Tuesday is a guided tour of St. Peter’s Church with Andrew Coleman at 7:30pm.
Wednesday 21st August
- At 8:00p.m Cumann Senates na Banndan present Catherine Fitamaurice giving an overview of the history of the Bernard family and their long connection with the town.
Thursday 22nd August
- At 8pm we welcome Carol Quinn, head of archives at Irish Distillers as she takes us on a deep dive through the origins of the modern Irish whiskey industry.
Friday 23rd August
- Rory Bunce from the local studies library joins us for a talk on family history in Bandon Library at 2:30 and Cecily Gilligan will talk about her book Cures of Ireland, which is an exploration of the traditional cures that have survived at 8pm in Bandon Town Hall.

Saturday 24th August
- Claire McCutcheon takes us on a guided tour of Bandon town taking in points of historic interest.
- Saturday 24th brings music and storytelling to the streets of Bandon. We begin with a free lunchtime Harpist Recital featuring Reidun Schlesinger and accompanied by Áine and Lucy Teape – stay a while after for an intimate workshop covering tunes of Sliabh Luachra.
- Cork Baroque Orchestra join us for some Horrible Harmonies at Riverview Shopping Centre at 3pm as we join the Shopping Centres Day of Family fun. This is an interactive concert workshop for families and young audiences
- Cork Baroque Orchestra brings us music through the ages at Bandon Methodist Church on Saturday 24th at 7:30 pm. Tickets are €15 available at O’Farrell’s, Hickey’s, Bandon Books or via bandonhistory.com.
Sunday 25th August
- The Family Fun Day from 1-5 pm has a new home this year and we look forward to seeing you at Riverview Shopping Centre. This year’s line-up looks better than ever. From Battle Re-enactments, circus skills, drop-in workshops, facepainting and puppet shows the fun never ends. Heritage skills from blacksmith to smoking and felting will highlight heritage crafts that would have been at the core of life within the walls in times past. Craft and food stalls and live music will bring a festive front to the day.
