Description

Drimoleague (in Irish – Droim Dhá Liag) meaning the ridge of two stones. The village is the starting place for one of the five Pilgrim Paths of Ireland, St Finbarr’s Pilgrim Path which ends approximately 35 km away at Gougane Barra.

The TV series Holding based on the book by Graham Norton was filmed in the village and its environs in 2021.

The highly colourful village with its painted building and houses, has several bars, a supermarket and butchers shop, a pitch and putt course and a children’s playground. The village also has a fine chemists shop and a post office.
